Sittin at bubba's Burgers in Kapaa
This is a view towards the ocean from where I was sitting by the swimming pool. The large guy was a bassist playing hawaiian tunes with what looked like another man who was his uncle or something.
There was a tree out back of the suite that we were staying in once we got to the big island. Sitting in it this is the view of the storm wall, swimming pool, and part of the really interesting building that our resort was in at Kona.
This is a sketch of the Black Sand beach on the big island. The sand is the perfect size, not grainy but nice and glassy and doesn't have a habit of getting anywhere. It also makes the water look an interesting dark green.
